Storage Tanks
IFC can offer a range of tanks to suit each application. Individual tank
capacities can cover almost any size up to a maximum of 120,000 litres. In
accessing your requirements we would recommend sufficient capacity to cover at
least 5 days operations without a delivery.

Self-bunded designs are useful in reducing expensive civil building works on
site. In line with current environmental agency regulations they do not require
a separate bund to be constructed, however corrosion monitoring & remedial
work between the tank skins tends to be more difficult then single skin designs.
There is also a 30 to 60% cost increase for this type of tank compared to the
single skin designs. As a minimum each tank is fitted with flanged isolation
valve on both the fill & discharge lines. The discharge line is usually
4" mounted at low level. On self-bunded designs the valve is placed between
the two chambers with hand wheel control usually mounted on top of the tank.
The fill line is usually 3" & vents direct into the top of the tank
near the manway. A breather tube & vermin trap is fitted along with
accessory sockets for probes etc.
85,000 litre single skin storage tank with anti-overspill

A Minimum tank life of 20 years is standard with paint finish suitable in
industrial conditions for 5 to 10 years between re-paint intervals.
