Loading Platforms

IFC Loading Platforms are used widely throughout the United Kingdom enabling operators to work safely on the top of tankers. Easy to install the LP1600 modular pedestal structure comprises a floor to tanker top stairway, central support column, and a platform working area with handrails.

LP1600 platforms are built to BS specifications and are fully galvanized (with the option of a paint finish). Walkways are provided with ‘moonscape’ treads that easily drain to prevent icy or greasy surfaces.

The design has been developed over the past ten years such that we can provide a sturdy, weatherproof platform at an economic price.  Benefiting from volume manufacture of the essential sub-assemblies,  the structure design has been fully stressed to minimise weight and reduce costs, yet they support a maximum of two sets of folding stairs, and four loading arms. For new installations IFC provide bolt cages for setting into a concrete base.

PROJECT HANDLING

IFC has experience in providing tanker loading solutions for the Chemical, Food and Petroleum industries and has a project team comprising of fluid handling specialists, instrument, electrical and design engineers competent to handle virtually all Loading Platform applications. Should your requirements extend beyond a standard LP1600 platform we are able adapt our designs to add roofs, increase the length, provide catwalks and link to existing structures. Fast track projects, using our modular design concept are handled economically and efficiently with minimal client investment in the design function. We benefit from our own fabrication shop dedicated to loading platform and associated production.

INSTALLATION

IFC installation and commissioning engineers have been fully trained and hold CCNG Safety Passports. Depending upon on-site requirements, our team are usually able to deliver, receive site induction, offload (with the client providing a 5 tonne crane for up to half a day) and erect a platform within a day. Full method statements are provided prior to installation and detailed erection instructions are issued to clients choosing to carry out erection themselves.
